Cream printed paper covers; stapled twice along spine; 12mo (5.0"x& 7.0"); 39pp; small b/w photo to page 9, tail piece vignette o/w not illustrated. With listings for 58 additional fly patterns not found in the fore-mentioned work. Very few of the flies have their tying instructions included but rather Smedley waxes on about the fly's namesake, where it was originally fished, etc-but, most entries are entertaining and invaluable references for the historian. A most fragile binding and seldom offered for sale in the market. The OCLC locates but 2 copies, both in Michigan libraries. This copy in good condition with a 2-inch long split along upper spine; corner creasing to lower edge of some pages; small corner chip at lower rear cover o/w internally clean. Bruns S-179.
