With over 150 monochrome illustrations and plans, and in colour to front board and to frontispiece. Slight sunning to spine, age-toning to endpapers and certain other pages, occasional foxing. Wear and rubbing to boards, softening and bumping to extremities and a corner crease to front board. Wear and splitting of cloth to hinges and small areas of loss to spine corners. c Previous owners' details written neatly to ffep and rear endpaper. The spine itself is a little loose but the page block remains firm. Internally clean and unmarked in terms of annotations, underlinings etc. Overall a nice and enjoyable First Edition, a Classic work which is extensively illustrated, tight and firm to the page block and internally clean.
