Pebbled green cloth. 8vo. 137pp. Illustrated. First edition. A record of the descendants of Samuel Fosdick 2nd, the fourth lineal ancestor of Stephen Fosdick who settled in Charlestown, Mass., in 1635. Stephen Fosdick 2nd was the son of Capt. Samuel Fosdick of New London, CT., and was born in 1684. Around 1730 he moved with his family to Oyster Bay, Long Island where he worked in the family blacksmith trade. This genealogy is concerned with Samuel's descendants in the Oyster Bay branch of the family. It is illustrated with three portraits. A worn copy with some spotting to the covers and some heavier spotting and wear to the spine which is worn at the tips. The text is good with some soiling and wear. The hinges are broken but secure and there is some chipping to the lower left corner of the first few pages. Scarce. Seller Inventory # 9306
