Otavo, medium green cloth boards, black and gilt spine title panel, 225 pp. Very Good; a handsome, worthy very good, in fact, which has done its time in the hands of an enthusiast and held up quite well. Corners and spine ends modestly touched, small places of soil on boards, light age toning, most notably at endpapers. No interior writing, of course. See scans. Four Main Lines is a colorful account of the growth of the East Coast, West Coast, Great Western and South Western rail lines (in Britain) and the trains that ran on them. Illustrated with a number of quite beautiful full-color, full-page plates, and an even greater number of black and white photographs. The kind of book I don't even really want to sell at all.
