Four Screen Plays, Carl Theodor Dreyer, Thames and Hudson, 1970, First Edition, First Impression As a film director, Dreyer was known as one of the great solitaires of the cinema. However, Dreyer was a writer before he was a film director and in approaching a new subject he used to work out in a detailed treatment in semi-novelistic, semi-drastic form. The result, a halfway stage between synopsis and technical shooting-script was a work of imaginative literature in its own right. This book contains four of these "screenplays" including the one from his most famous film - La Passion de Jeanne D'Arc. It appears that the dust jacket has been attached to the boards but from what we can see the boards appear to be in near fine condition. The unclipped dust jacket, protected in a clear, removable cover is in near fine condition with no issues. Will be dispatched wrapped in bubblewrap and in a cardboard box. Seller Inventory # 02435
