1904. First Edition. 247 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth with gilt lettering. Black and white illustrations throughout. Colour folded frontispiece present. Noticeable cracking to front hinge causing board to come away from text block. Moderate cracking to gutters, exposing netting and causing some looseness to binding but pages remain attached. Minor thumb marking, foxing and moderate tanning to pages. More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Book is slightly forward leaning with visible tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has heavier tanning with noticeable splitting, fraying and crushing to joints and ends.
