The second volume of a five volume set, (ten when including map volumes). vi+543+120 (last being the appendix). Bound in original red cloth covered boards with rubbing to surface and edges, and scuffing to upper front corner. Spine cloth faded. Tape reference to lower spine. All page edges marbled. Foxing to preliminary and title pages. Previously owned by the Royal United Service Institution with their bookplate to fixed end paper. Book has stamps to free end paper and title page along with written notes and crossings out. Upper part of title page is missing. Boards and text-block tight, pages in very good condition.
