An exceptional collection of five carefully selected bibliophile editions devoted to Friedrich Nietzsche, spanning more than ninety years of book design and fine printing.
The collection combines two limited Insel Verlag centenary editions, an important facsimile edition of Ecce homo, the scarce Basel private press edition of Klage der Ariadne (1947), and the finely printed Quartus edition Aus meinem Leben & dem unbekannten Gotte.
Rather than being ordinary reading copies, these books represent outstanding examples of twentieth-century German book art and typography.
