Bound in pictorial boards (hardcover), 220pp, illustrations (chiefly in color), 30 cm. Very good/fine, clean, crisp, unmarked. The richly illustrated book has been published on the occasion of the art manifestation 'On Friendship / (Colateral Damage) III - The Third GaLUT: Baghdad, Jerusalem, Amsterdam' (2019-2020), an aesthetic and poetic research into the cities Baghdad, Jerusalem and Amsterdam. All these cities are said to have been tolerant at some time in history, but how does that relate to 'otherness' and what doest it mean today? The dominant subject is the significance of lost culture, exile, hospitality, and identity. It is an ode to a lost culture, and at the same time an invitation to dialogue between the different points of view in Judaism.
