This VG book is square, very clean, and free of edge dings; both top corners and the head and heel of the spine have very slight bumps and no fabric damage. Spine has mild general soiling that has not damaged the lettering or the illustration (see photo). The attractive front panel illustration completely intact and undamaged (see photo). The interior is completely free of writing, stray marks or page damage of any sort; pages 132-134 have a reddish stain in the upper margin. Hinges are strong and the paper is very flexible; frontis + 5 is intact. A likely first edition because it does not list the last two books in the series.
