1935. Presumed first German edition. Unpaginated but with 26 pages, including 12 full-page colour illustrations. Ida Bohatta Morpurgo (1900-1992) was an Austrian children's book illustrator and author. With the text in German, this is a beautifully illustrated tale told in rhyming prose about the fairies that are found in a little garden. The book is bound in the original brown paper covered boards with blue titling and a colour illustration on the front board. The case of the book is in very good condition with shelf wear on the boards and wear with a little chipping to the paper covering the corner tips and spine ends. The spine ends are lightly bumped with a little damage and loss at the top of the spine. There is a dent on the top edge of the front board. The contents are tight and clean with some light foxing to some of the pages. There is no inscription. Seller Inventory # gFairy19
