This book follows precisely the syllabus for second year Engineering Science in the new scheme for a General Course in Engineering. The scheme is a general two-year course designed to give a common grounding for students in the various branches of mechanical, electrical and civil engineering. This book is planned in the form of 19 chapters, or lectures, in Mechanical Engineering Science and nine chapters, or lectures, in Electrical Engineering Science.
