Add to basketHELD, Werner. THE GERMAN FIGHTER UNITS OVER RUSSIA. A Pictorial History Of The Pilots And Aircraft. West Chester, Pennsylvania: Schiffer Publishing Ltd., [1990]. Small quarto: pictorial gray cloth in dust jacket; 192 pages. First American Edition, first published in Germany in 1986. A book on the World War II German Luftwaffe fighter units [including JG 3, JG 5, JG 51, JG 52, JG 54 and JG 77] that saw action in Russia from 1941 to 1944. A unique copy! This particular copy contains about a dozen tipped-in photographs, articles or emblems [Eismeer] and about ten signatures by German Luftwaffe squadron members, possibly including Walter Schuck, Major Ehrler, Ernst Scheufele; and Wolfgange Spate [See Images]. Signatures and images were obviously gathered at a conference or reunion of World War II German aviators. An unusual, one-of-a-kind copy that could use some more research! Fine (covers nice; contents clean & tight); nice (one repair with clear tape) d/j. $275.00.
