It was a time when Zabetas didn't want many "lots" with anyone . He was going through a period of almost complete isolation. The issue of his health, his exclusion from the discography - despite various formal promises - the relentless passage of time and so many had made him unwilling to do much with "the presses and laundries" as he used to say. He had chosen some young children, music students, and spent his days creatively writing melodies solely for his pleasure and his inexhaustible creative tendency, though he did not exclude from the depths of his thinking that anyone interested in his work. I met a man so sweet and tender, so convincing in what he was saying. So "human". So composed and so creative yet. A witty, humorous man, a "modern Aristophanes," as he was called.
