Add to basketA very special copy of this classic Robin Howe book. Robin Howe was the star cookbook/travel writer of her day. This is a very nice copy of Howe's first edition of the classic Greek Cooking. It has the original orange dust jacket encased in a plastic sleeve, there is perhaps a tiny imperfection at the top spine edge. The top edge of the text has light foxing. Bookstore sticker on last end page: "Kowloon Bookshop Kowloon, Hong Kong", as well as the original price in pencil. Stamped on the side edge and partially on the front paste-down: "Palm Court Hotel". Otherwise clean and well bound and without flaw. 5 X 7.5" 282 pages, first edition published 1960. A collection of recipes of all kinds from every part of Greece, presented accurately and clearly, with interesting comments on the history and folk-lore behind many of the dishes. Also a chapter on the Tavernas of the day. (Insurance and tracking will be requested for overseas shipping).
