James Madison Barker (1886-1974) was an American banker and business executive. He was engaged by Overseas Consultants, Inc. (OCI) IN 1948 to participate on an economic mission to Iran. OCI had been retained by the Shah to report on the financial viability of their "Seven-Year Plan" for economic reconstruction. A.H. [Abol Hassan] Ebtehaj (1899-1999), was the younger brother of the author. He was banker, economic planner and prominent reformer of the Iranian banking system. Contents include a large number of advertisings for airlines, banking, tourism, oil, sketch of Iran, geography, government, consulates, education, currency, finance, trade, laws, transportation (road, railways, aviation, navigation), access routs to Iran, list of prominent Iranians, Persian vocabulary, taxis, etc. Rare book.
