Reviews
Gr 4-6-These two series entries are abridgements of material found in Robert Ingpen and Philip Wilkinson's Encyclopedia of Events that Changed the World (Viking, 1991). They are written in a simple and direct style, chronologically arranged, and reflect worldwide perspectives. An attractive full-color portrait, smaller action drawings, a map, and a box of ``fascinating facts'' appear in every chapter. However, some of the 20 individuals profiled, such as Babur (Generals) and Asoka (Statesmen), may be unknown to most adults, much less to children. Serviceable additions.-Rick Moesch, Hamburg Public Library,
