Hardback. 27.0 x 21.0 cm. Pp. (4), xvii, (3), 371, (20), 22 (3 folded) finely hand coloured engraved plates. Bound in C19th 1/2 calf with gilt lettering on contrasting labels. Extremities rubbed, upper third of pages 55-60 darkened, sporadic spotting, foredge of one leaf reinforced without affecting text, early photocopy of heraldic bookplate on front pastedown.Text in English and French but without the engraved English titlepage. Including 2 folding anatomical plates which in this copy are also hand coloured. Plates generally clean and bright. [Freeman 196].
