Backstrap - 5 raised bands with gilt titles in black panels. Very strongly bound. Various ownerships in pencil on front endpapers. Bookplate of William Bruce Bannerrman on Vol I pastedown. The wealth of information is astonishing: "A General Survey of the Kingdom, its climate, mountains, lakes, rivers, products, population, manufactures, commerce, religion, literature, government, revenue, history.
