8vo, pp viii, viii, [6, subscribers], 2-189, 2-189, rebound in modern plain polished morocco, spine with raised bands and maroon label - proficient enough but style-less and garish - internally a fine clean copy, FIRST EDITION, sole printing of this question and answer text book for schools, with the French text facing the English and pagination paired. Garnier's self-published effort found an evidently limited number of subscribers who, it appears, didn't value highly the idea of combining language tuition with science in the same way that other authors had , for example, combined history with French in parallel text. We have been able to track down only the BL copy of this title apart from this one which, if the rebind be forgiven, is as clean a copy as one could wish for. Seller Inventory # 29665
