192 Pages Indexed. No defects noted. Illustrated with 21 Tables and one plate. The Cebolla quadrangle overlaps the boundary of two physiographic provinces in north-central New Mexico. These are the Tusas Mountains, part of the southern Rocky Mounteain province, and the San Juan Basin, part of the Colorado Plalteau province, Cebolla is a fifteen-minute quadrangle about seventeen miles south of the Colorado-New Mexico state line. The western edge of the area coincides with U.S. Hight 84, along both of which are tehe etowns of Cebfolla, Park View, and Tierra Amarilla, countyseat of Rio Arriba County. The stratigrapohy and geology of this area are of intersete both from an economic and an academic viewpoint, because it is here that several economic provinces meet. EThis report descreibes various rock units that outcrop in the Cebolla qjuadrangle, as well as the geomorphology, structural geology, and economic geology.
