Very good condition. Minor wear to book corners and edges. Love him or hate him, sharp-tongued sports broadcaster George Grljusich brought out the best and worst in talkback listeners. The politically incorrect champion of the airwaves was a man of many parts - gambler, larrikin, lover, raconteur, control freak, litigant and owner of a string of finance-crippling horses. Revered or renounced, George Grljusich made an impact paralleled by few, if any, Australian sports broadcasters. George! The Life and Riotous Times of George Grljusich lays bare his fractured life: from the heights of international broadcasting fame - calling Ben Johnson's world-record 100-metre run at the Seoul Olympics - to the depths of his despair as mounting debts, family fallouts, marriage break-ups and radio management brawls blighted his life. Take the front seat on a humour-laced ride through the life of George Grljusich, with stories involving high-profile identities as well as sports celebrities and fellow journalists. (Back cover).…
