This is the six volume set, in the publisher's slipcases, 3448 pages. All volumes are first editions with the "A" by Charles Scribner's Sons, New York: 1948 - 1954. All six volumes are in fine condition in dark blue decorated cloth covered boards with gilt text stamping on the spines and with blind embossed seals on the front boards. The end papers for each book are decorated with maps of various sections of the United States which have bearing on the text within each volume. A fresh unmarked set. I can't find any names or marks, kind of looks like an unread set.
