Original blue cloth stamped in gilt. Parenthetical (1) present on last page (406). Light rubbing to folds. Very minor chips along bottom of front panel and at the top of the spine. A few very shallow closed tears. Brief notation in ink along front flap - a comment regarding ghost stories I think. The dust jacket price is present. The spine of the jacket has tanned. Listed in Bleiler, who states "A landmark volume in supernatural fiction." Now housed in a drop-back box. From the Lawrence Solomon collection. Very scarce in jacket and even more so in this lovely condition. Fine / Very Good.
