Volume II only. First edition thus with publisher's 16-page catalog at rear, dated Fall 1882. Brown cloth boards with black and gilt decoration and titling are lightly scuffed with some scratching to gilt cover illustration and larger strip of rubbing to rear board. Shelfwear to beveled edges, corners bumped, some fraying to head and tail of spine. Some rubbing to gilt and black spine titling and illustration. Overall subtle bow to boards and textblock. Interior age-toned but still rather bright. Previous owner's gift inscription in pencil to FFEP, dated 1884. Folded map and illustrations fully intact, binding tight. Dog ears to bottom corners of leaves 27-28 and 29-30, production error. Edges of rear catalog roughly trimmed.
