First limited edition, first printing. A hand-made artist's book produced by Gil Blank in conjunction with an exhibition of his photographs held at Andrew Roth gallery, NYC, September 22 - October 29, 2005. Blank is an art critic, editor, and visual artist. Here, in his first solo show, he took large-format view camera images, digitally scanned them, selectively obliterated information, and superimposed the remaining image on a field of solid color, emphasizing its artificiality. Photographs by Gil Blank; excerpt from "Airplane" by Haruki Murakami. #44 from an edition of 100. Staple-bound stiff card cover; 28 newsprint pages; 12 full-page color plates; 8 x 8 inches. Condition: Fine/As New paperback. LAID-IN is the illustrated exhibition announcement poster, folded as issued, and the gallery press release.
