The Girls at Lighthouse Point

Presidential hopeful Governor Justin Lambert, backed by a power-hungry and wealthy family, attempts to conceal the facts surrounding a car accident that killed Lucia Bennett

Any parallels to Chappaquiddick are surely deliberate in this intriguing novel of political ambition, secrets and lies. Justin Lambert's bid for the presidency 10 years after the tragedy at Lighthouse Point prompts Rachel Warshowsky and her three friends--once adoring volunteers in Lambert's gubernatorial campaign--to take action. The four women, along with Lambert's two aides, were involved in the accident that resulted in the death of another volunteer, asthmatic Lucia, and scarred Lambert's career and killed (or injured)...? isn't there a victim? . However, his powerful family has decided that enough time has passed to safely set the wheels in motion to secure the ultimate prize in American politics. In a narrative that cleverly conceals as it reveals, Rachel spurs her friends to make decisions that render all of them vulnerable. This contemporary tale by the author of Girls Rules is told with style and dispatch.
