About this Item
New; pristine and gorgeous. See scan and description. Box-shipped; no bags here. New York: Condé Nast Publications, 1996. The April, 1996 issue of Glamour Magazine. A thick, robust Quarto, photo-illustrated perfect-bound wraps, a hearty 304 pp. Brand spankin' new, spectacular, squeaky bright and unblemished, cover to cover - a true scarcity for a publication rapidly approaching vintage age. No labels, and all tipped in or loose-laid cardstock offers remain inside, and there is even still the faint scent of a cosmetics advertiser still lingering as this piece gets sealed for storage. No guarantees on how long that will continue, but, hey - it's stayed around since 1996. Cover model Nieves Alvarez looks thoughtful in haiir done by Laurent Philippon, makeup by Anne-Marie Barthelemy, and a Kenzo dress. The rich 304 pages of fashion, sex, love, celebrity, style, health, relationship, and food journalism with very professional photography to match make even the contents pages an engaging read. But as always there are splashy stunner ad shots - by the best photographers in the business - of a Murder's Row of renowned supermodels, and less familiar but even better-looking no-names, wall-to-wall. Just about every page deserves a scan. A collectible, squeaky-new example an early issue of a topflight genre publication. Scarce thus. Shipped in a sturdy, new, protective box - no baggin' it here.
