Two half-year volumes bound together in one by a 20th-century owner in half black morocco over marbled paper boards, spine lettered in gilt. Bound together from single issues. Nine issues only (of 12) , lacking March, April, and May 1877. With the nine large folding hand-colored fashion plates for the issues present (one per issue) , all present and in excellent condition. Contents appear to include the usual illustrated matter for the issues present (engraved and folding b&w fashion pages, engravings, and related ladies book material). Eccentrically bound: prior owner typically excluded most advertising leaves and covers (bound separately at one time. ) Attractive custom binding; a very clean plate set for the issues present.
