About this Item
A fine copy, in near fine dust jacket, of the UK first edition. The coarse red cloth binding is clean and unworn, with gleaming gilt lettering to the spine. Everything is square and tight, with sharp unbumped edges and corners. Inside the contents are clean and bright with no ownership inscriptions or other markings of any kind. The dust jacket is unclipped (42s.net) with only the most minimal of edgewear. It is now protected in a removable mylar cover. The volume has a slightly must smell, but there is no indication of any water contact. From the jacket blurb: "Here is a new chapter of South African history - a vivid description of the young Rhodes in search of gold, of his quarrel with J. B.
