Light bump to foot of spine, corners turned in slightly. Light tear to first hinge (about halfway). Text block: Lightly age toned, a few foxed areas and creases. Overall Fair. Free of stickers and bookplates, writing in text, and page tears. Pages are colorful and readable. Dustjacket: Torn and in three separate pieces (first panel, first flap, and rear panel with flap), spine panel missing. Heavily chipped, several pieces missing at extremities, tears, age toned/soiled/foxed; else overall Poor to Fair. Flap with price has not been clipped. Protected in archival Mylar cover. This is a charming legend of old Hungary with colored illustrations and decorations. It's the story of an aunt and uncle who live in a cottage with a garden and a flock of sheep - but no shepherd to mind their flock. A wonderful book for children.
