Golf Magazines Handbook of Putting

A complete and up-to-date guide to putting - the most crucial and, to many, the most frustrating part of the game. And since the putt is the most personal of golf shots, there seem to be almost as many types of putters and styles of putting as there are golfers. In this book, the great putters, including Jones, Casper, Archer and Nicklaus, tell you about their particular shots - why they putt the way they do and why their styles work for them. There are chapters on the fundamentals of a good stroke, how to read the greens, lining up a putt, how to gauge that range of a putt, green problems and how to solve them in all kinds of weather and under trying conditions, putting faults and remedies, the psychology of putting, and most important, how to practice. Over 100 show-how illustrations dramatize the points made in the text. With this book, any golfer can master the fundamentals of putting, develop a winning style of putting that's right for him and, in the process, cut valuable strokes from his score.
