Uncommon early printing correctly matched with original wrapper. Scarce example nearly ninety years in existence. Butternut (greyish brown) full cloth boards, navy stamped cover and spine titles, moderate shelf wear, discoloration. Deckled pages generally very good; moderate toning, discoloration, page roll at endps., first several interior at front, back. Bind fine, square; hinges intact. Antiquarian owner's pictorial bookplate at front endpaper: "Helen M. Stirn, N. Ashburton St., Balto, MD." Plate depicts classic silhouette scene of figure with flute among deer and rabbit with stars in b.g. Original issue dust wrapper matching with classic design, moderate shelf wear, toning, chip; unclipped 3.00, protected in new clear sleeve. Reviews at back panel.
