Very Good hardcover in a Good dust jacket. First Edition, First Printing as stated. REVIEW COPY with a letter from Houghton Mifflin's publicity department and a publicity photo of Roth by Werner J. Kuhn laid in. Light age darkening to the page ends and end pages, otherwise the book is clean and bright. No markings to the text. The dust jacket is unclipped with the original price of $3.95 on the inner front flap. The jacket is edge worn with tears along the lower front folds. Tape-repair evident to the verso. Now protected by mylar. Overall an attractive copy. 298 pp.
