The first edition, first paperback printing, one of five thousand copies.'The Goslings' is Upton Sinclair's exploration of the elementary and high school educational systems in the United States.Illustrated with a frontispiece.Sinclair was a popular American author whose career spanned across the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. In 1943 he won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for his novel 'Dragon's Teeth'.This is one of six books Sinclair wrote in a series titled 'Dead Hand', in which he explores American institutions.Seven pages of adverts to the rear. In the original publisher's paper wraps. Externally, smart. Light spots to the wraps. A small amount of wear and loss to the head and tail of the spine. Front hinge is starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean, with scattered spots to the first and last few pages. Very Good.
