Large 8vo, vi plus 4 pages of table of contents +pp268 and errata at rear. Hardcover issued without dust jacket. Full brown calf leather binding with 5 raised bands and tooled gilt decoration to spine in good condition with rubbing, some scratches and marks to spine and boards with strip discoloured to edge of front board. Inside title page damaged and badly repaired with a page newspaper. Other pages are mostly in very good clean condition with the occasional ink mark and fingerprint. On front paste down discreet withdrawn stamp from Devon library services, small slip pasted in by Edmund Jermyn and written "present by his son L Jermyn to the Exeter City Library 3rd July 1957".
