Dark green patterned cloth. Small octavo. 88pp. Illustrated with 8 sepia-toned calligraphic plates and other illustrations throughout the text. An early art manual by the American painter, writer and portraitist. A worn copy with the spine lacking and with both covers loose. The covers have some light spotting and edgewear. The inside covers and first 20 pages have some spotting else the rest of the text is good with light soiling and wear.
