Oversized volume in black cloth with spine lettered in gilt. xv with glossary + 240 pp. with index of illustrations. Introduction by Stephen King "Shiver.Shake.Scream. and Wonder". A spectacular collection of full color images of posters, advertisements, lobby cards, etc of horror, fantasy and sci-fi films from as early as the 1919 silent film "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari" through the 1960s. Each decade collection begins with essays by Robert Bloch (the Twenties), Ray Bradbury (the 30s), Harlan Elliosn (the 40s), Peter Straub (the 50s), Clive Barker (the 60s) and an afterword "Imagi-Movie Makers 1922-11968) by Forrest Ackerman. More than 500 images, mostly in full color, of the finest film posters and related memorabilia.
