First Edition. The copyright page has only one date 1950 and "A" is in the alpha line on end paper. Stated on cover as a "A Big Golden Book". Book size is approximately 10.5" W by 13" L. See pictures. Profusely illustrated and pictures fill the entire page; wonderful illustrations of fire engines and firemen. Rich colors are wonderful and bright ; A must for children of any Fireman. Interior pages have no tears, folds or writing except for previous owner name on FEP page. Light foxing to page edges. This is NOT an ex-lib copy or a remainder copy. Illustrated End papers are unmarred and colorful. All illustrations fill the ENTIRE PAGE. Binding firm - no pages missing. Illustrated glossy covers are colorful but plastic film has peeled off the covers so give appearance of cloudiness. Spine is well attached but show lots of wear. Corners are bumped and show wear. It is rare to find a 76+ year old children's book that is in very good condition and a first edition. These books were not made to physically last forever.
