Greek Geometric Pottery

Title: Greek Geometric Pottery: A Survey of Ten Local Styles and Their Chronology Description: London: Methuen, 1968. First edition hardback, xxxix + 465 pp., 64 plates, folding map in rear pocket. Coldstream’s standard scholarly survey of Greek Geometric pottery, laying out ten local styles, chronology, and workshop traditions; long regarded as the essential reference work for the period. The book is a substantial quarto with bibliography and indexes, and copies with the folding map present are especially desirable. Condition: Good ex-library copy. Usual library markings and light edge wear, with a slightly torn dust jacket; structurally sound and complete, but the jacket defect keeps it below top collector pricing.
