Both stories were inspired by trips to Scotland - The Green Ray seemingly leaning on the semi-mythical bard Ossian and The Blockade Runners by Scotland's industrial present.

This book is compete with dust cover and in very good condition. There are some marks to the dust cover (particularly on the rear) but no structural damage. Inside cover is price clipped and contains an endplate for the 1st Ellon Company Boys Brigade and was awarded as a prize to a "G. Hunter".
