About this Item

First edition, third impression, a very good copy in publisher's cloth complete with the scarce dust wrapper. The wrapper is dulled with wears and some loss to the corners, with some abrasion to the backstrip, not price clipped. The dust wrapper is identical to that of the first impression. The book is sound with just light offsetting to the end papers, no markings or inscriptions. Scarce first of Walsh's War of Independence novel, basis for the 1952. John Ford film, "The Quiet Man".
