The first edition, first impression.The Little Grey Rabbit tales appeared over a forty-year period from the 1920s to the mid 1970s, to great acclaim and popularity.Illustrated throughout in colour by Margaret Tempest.In this tale, Little Grey Rabbit bumps into Brush, a wandering hedgehog who travels up and down the country like a gypsy. He tells her stories and asks for a winter coat in exchange.With a former owner's inscription, dated 1948, to the half title. In the publisher's original paper covered boards. Boards bright. Bumping to back strip head and tail and head of fore edge of front board. Clear tape repairs running length of back strip. Former owner's inscriptions to half titles. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and generally clean, with light handling marks to tails of first few leaves. Good.
