First US edition. Lovely painted and patterned paper-covered boards are somewhat soiled near foreedge, with scattered scuffing. Front cover label is soiled. Shelfwear to edges and corners bumped with boards exposed. Black quarter cloth spine is rubbed with heavy shelfwear at head and tail, and spine label heavily rubbed as to be nearly gone. Interior age-toned with scattered soiling. Previous owner's name and markings in pencil to FFEP. Binding fully intact.
