Henry Holt and Company, 1940, First Edition. Hardcover in Good Condition-very nice volume. Pages are quite clean, no markings of any kind. Green cloth with red title panel and decoration on front and spine. On front, it is quite clear and bright; on the spine it is rubbed and hard to see lettering. Sewn binding with endband is tight, solid, and square. Text block edges tanned, a few small spots. Former owner name on endpaper. A most useful book. Sections 1-4 deal with sentences, grammar, punctuation, and spelling. The remaining sections contain help in the understanding of grammatical terms, in paragraphing, in outlining, in investigative writing (including the use of the library), in lettering writing, and in using the dictionary. Appendixes. Index. 361 pages. 5.5 x 1 x 8 inches. 1940, Henry Holt and Company.
