"First published in 1932, [this cookbook] followed the earlier success of Five Roses Cook Book, first published in1913. [This book] may have been a new collection of recipes, but, in the words of Ferguson/Fraser, it was 'known forever as the Five Roses Cookbook.'" - Driver Q203.1 161 pages. Index. Eight pages of lovely colour photos. Complete with all three coupons on first leaf. Occasional soiling to unmarked contents. Average wear to black leatherette boards attractively decorated and lettered in gilt. Inner joints mostly open. Only an inch of the original backstrip remains, as is common with this title. A worthy first edition example of this truly classic Canadian cookbook, numerous editions of which were to follow over the decades. ; 8vo.
