Boards rubbed, faded and stained. Title cropped from head of the loose plan of Bath. Lacking the folding map at the rear. Early owner's signature on front endpaper "Charles Hall". Dust stains to endpapers. Foxing to the frontispiece map. Provenance: Hardwicke Knight (but without any of his owner's marks).; vi, [2], 350 pages + folding frontispiece map + 1 loose plan of Bath. Lacking the folding map at rear. Rebound in late 19th? century half-leather and marbled papered boards. Page edges speckled red. Page dimensions: 180 x 118mm. "Living at a place you unconsciously grow curious about things which in any region but your own you would be indifferent to. To gratify this curiosity in such a manner as not merely to set it at rest, but to make it an adit for larger knowledge, should be the aim of the local historian." - from the Preface.
