This is virtually as new. An exceptional copy. This particular copy belonged to a collector of the Sioux Uprising of 1862. There are 58 collections that deal with the 1862-1865 Sioux Uprising. In addition there is one collection that deals with the Senate Inquiry, 1 dealing with the execution of the Indian participants, 1 with the name of those executed, 1 on the attack at Hutchinson and 4 on the defense of Minnesota frontier. In addition there are a number of collections on the Sibley expedition and also on the Sully expeditions. A great source for anyone wanting to research the Sioux Uprising in 1862. This was the first of the Minnesota guides to personal papers and manuscripts in the historical society possession - a wonderful source for the researcher.
