The text begins with a brief history of the double rifles birth, giving an outline to the designs and the people that made the rifle come into being. A chapter has been devoted to the steps required in placing an order for a new rifle, and how specifications play a major role in this process. Much of the book has been devoted to the actual manufacturing steps, as each of the rifles's components are descriibed in detail. In that the regulation process plays a significant part of the rifles development, a chapter has been presented with respect to this topic. Significant details have been provided on the use of the rifle for other than african hunting, such as dynamic competitive sports. On closing, specifics are presented with regard to proof testing and the proper maintenance procedures to follow with regard to rifle care and handling.
