Faded red cloth coloured, hardback book with gilt titles on the spine. No dust jacket. The book is in good condition, normal wear, marks and tear apply consistent with use and age. The red cloth boards are faded, please see photos. Pencil signature on first blank page and some spotting only on first and last pages. 667 pages all intact and all pages, text and gorgeous illustrations (seventeen coloured plates) are all in really good, clean, readable order. Illustrations by John Leech, Introduction by Siegfried Sassoon. This wonderful book from a bygone period, is a good sized, thick book and is definitely worth preserving for future generations. Ideal for the field sports enthusiast or collectors of old hunting books, the illustrations are fantastic and really depict that era.
